mexican foodMexican food restaurants comprise perhaps the largest variety of ethnic cuisine options, in Ruidoso. Whatever your craving, rest assured you can find it here.

Standing arguments over the area’s best Mexican food (Jorge’s? Comal?) run parallel with the question of who serves up the best Tex-Mex (Casa Blanca? Tina’s?). The take-home message, here, is that you really can’t go wrong.

Secret spots like Club Gas serve up surprisingly good fare — head over on Thursday evenings for the wildly popular “enchilada night” — and other establishments such as Grill Caliente focus on healthier, “Nuevo” Mexican dishes. Green chile is a staple on just about every menu in town, so come prepared to make your taste buds dance. Buen provecho!
