Warren Kasper from the Fort Stanton – Snowy River Cave National Conservation Area is leading several hikes this year as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of American independence.

These hikes are free and open to the public

Location: Meet at the Alleged UFO Skip Site: parking lot off of Lincoln County Road B007 (Transwestern Road) at coordinates 33.952 -105.331 Degrees

This guided hike will take about one hour to complete and will take visitors to the approximate location where, in 1947, a UFO allegedly impacted—starting nearly eighty years of debate that gives southeast New Mexico one of its more unique claims to fame. The hike will last about one hour.
