Ruidoso Restaurants: Your Guide to a Full Day of Dining

Let’s eat! Ruidoso has so many amazing options for places to eat and drink, so we tried to narrow it down to give you an epic day of all the flavors we could put into one itinerary. If you’re looking to eat at some of the best Ruidoso restaurants, this is your guide to a full day of dining in the village!

Breakfast: Tina’s Cafe

2825 Sudderth Dr, Ruidoso, NM 88345
(575) 257-8930

Start your day off with a traditional breakfast or one of Tina’s signature New Mexican-style dishes. One of our favorites is their breakfast burrito smothered Christmas style (red and green chile sauce). They also have a bar area that serves some really great tapas on weekend evenings.

Lunch: Island Noodles

2415 Sudderth Dr, Ruidoso, NM 88345
(575) 808-8869

Then, you’ll head down to Midtown to get some shopping done. When you get hungry, head over to Island Noodles. It’s right past Times Square in the heart of Midtown on Sudderth. These mouth-watering noodle dishes are cooked fresh in a wok right in front of you with lots of veggies and plenty of flavor.

Sweet Treat: Cedar Creek Market

Your next stop is new to the area, but is quickly gaining popularity. Cedar Creek Market has amazing Liege waffles that are made in-house with lots of toppings to choose from! While you’re there, check out their gift shop with locally made, one-of-a-kind items both vintage and new. They also have some great burritos and chicken salad!

Afternoon Sip: The Perfect Gift with Algodones Distillery

2501 Sudderth Suite G Time Square Shopping Center, Ruidoso, NM 88345
(505) 379-7921

If you didn’t satisfy your shopping fix earlier at Cedar Creed and are ready for an afternoon drink, we have the perfect spot… The Perfect Gift with Algodones Distillery. They have a wonderful craft cocktail menu that features their partner, Algodones Distillery’s spirits. One of the most popular is their classic old-fashioned.

Dinner: Ruidoso Sushi

2501 Sudderth Drive Suite C, Ruidoso, NM 88345
(575) 630-0495

Once you’ve quenched your thirst and finished up shopping, it’s time to walk a couple of shops down to Ruidoso Sushi for dinner! Sushi in the mountains? Yes. Trust us. We loved the Ruidoso Roll, but it is all fresh and delicious. Enjoy!

Tips for Dining in Ruidoso

  • During high season (summer/winter) make reservations! It is not uncommon to have a long wait at almost every restaurant during high season, even during the week. If the restaurant takes reservations, do it!
  • Remember this is a quaint mountain village. Things move at a different pace here than in the city. If you’re in a hurry, try a call ahead or drive thru order.
  • During low season (spring/autumn) you may find that some businesses (retail as well) close earlier than what is posted online. Again, it’s a small town largely run by families, so it may not make sense to stay open once the day slows down. Plan outings for earlier in the day! On that note, plan to eat earlier during low season.
  • It’s never a bad idea to grab a pizza from Cafe Rio or sandwiches at Village Buttery to go and have a picnic in the wilderness or at one of the many parks around town.
