Kick off XTERRA World Championship week with a free guided hike through one of Ruidoso’s favorite mountain landscapes. Led by experienced local guides from Happy Hiker, this approximately 5K hike introduces participants to the natural beauty, wildlife, and forest ecology that make the Sierra Blanca region a year-round outdoor destination.

Open to XTERRA athletes, families, visitors, and local residents, the hike is designed for a variety of ages and ability levels. Participants should wear sturdy hiking shoes, bring water, and dress for changing mountain weather.
